Academic structure
The academic year consists of two semesters, an autumn/winter semester and a spring/summer semester. There is a short winter break between semesters of approximately one week and a summer break of approximately two months. For other breaks in the academic calendar please see below.

Autumn
Autumn/winter semester starts.....August 25th

Teaching, assessment and grading
Teaching method used is a combination of lectures, tutorials, laboratory classes and clinical practice. Final grades are based on written assignments and tests undertaken throughout the semester, participation in class, laboratory attendance, clinical fieldwork and a final written examination held at the end of the semester. There is an emphasis both on group work and independent study. Each semester has a weighting of 30 ECTS points.
The grading scale
Exams in Denmark are given grades on a scale from 03-12.

7 Very good
4 Good
02 Sufficient (Pass)
00 Insufficient (Fail)
