The School of Nursing in Viborg and Thisted is organised in VIA University College.

Students at VIA are offered degree and diploma courses at Higher Education level. A Bachelor’s degree from VIA will give students the opportunity to supplement both knowledge and education with a Master’s degree course at universities in Denmark as well as abroad.

VIA University College Department of Nursing Viborg/Thisted (VIA University College Sygeplejerskeuddannelsen i Viborg/Thisted) have approximately 400 full-time Bachelor students.

VIA University College Department of Nursing Viborg/Thisted provides the B.N. based on research and development and cooperates with the Division of Continuing Education and the Division of Research and Development, VIA University College and with national and international universities.

In collaboration with the School of Nursing, Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia, VIA University College Department of Nursing Viborg offers a Master of Health Science, Nursing. Additionally, the postgraduate nursing development unit offers a large number of postgraduate courses specifically developed and intended for the employees in the health care sector.
